You can hike on the glacier of Vatnajökull while admiring the majestic mountains of Skaftafell National Park. Hike safely
Meet your guide at the meeting point and collect crampons, ice axe, harness, and helmet. You can then take a bus to the start of the hike, attach crampons and steel frames to your hiking boots, and begin your hike. Travel with a guide on a hike on the glacier that lasts about 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes and feel the cracks in the surface. Accompanied by an English-speaking guide, you will peer into small ice tunnels created by glaciers in winter and learn about the green history of glaciers.
Travel on nature
Meet at the meeting point and transfer by bus to Vat Najökutl National Park for a 30-minute safety briefing. Then, after a 1-hour hiking tour in Skaftafell National Park with a guide, you can go back to Vatnajokutl National Park for a 30-minute walk. Afterwards, the course moves back to the meeting point.
