The journey from Lucerne to Jungfrau is easy with a variety of transport options. Take in the sights and landscapes of Switzerland’s most beautiful mountain landscapes by train and cable car. The 10-hour journey begins with a scenic bus ride through the Brünig Pass and Lake Brienz. Don’t miss the view of the Jungfrau’s Sphinx viewing terrace and the snow-capped peaks and glaciers from the plateau, home to the largest glacier in Europe.

From Interlaken to the Jungfrau summit

After a break in Interlaken, take the cable car from the Grindelwald terminal for a 15-minute scenic ride to the Eiger glacier. From there, take the train to the Jungfrau summit for a breathtaking view of the ice, snow and rock formations. There’s also the Alpine Sensation Adventure Tour, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Jungfrau Railway. Walk through the tunnel of the Ice Palace into the middle of the glacier, pass the Bingen resort and head down to Lauterbrunnen, then on to Lucerne.
