We begin our pilgrimage to Shiraike Jikok (White Pond Hell). It's closest to the bus stop, so it's best to visit first. From here, you can travel to five places on foot. Since you have to go to the other two places by bus, if you don't have time, it's better to visit five places, and if you have time, it's better to make a pilgrimage to all seven places.

From JR Beppu Station West Exit, take Kamenoi Takashi 2, 5, 9, 24, or 41 minutes, toward Tetsurin, in front of Umi Jigoku or get off at Tetsurin and walk 1 minute
From Iron Ferry, take the Blood Pond Hell Bus No. 16 and get off at Pijigoku-mae
