The easiest way to exchange tickets

Once you arrive at Kansai Airport, you will need to exchange the voucher you received from WAUG for an actual Haruka Limited Express ticket. Don’t worry, it is not difficult at all if you follow the steps below.

1. Please prepare your passport and mobile voucher.
2. Please select a language from the top menu of the ticket machine. (English, Chinese, Korean supported)
3. Select “Recieve reserved ticket”
4. Select “Exchange for Japan Pass”
5. Scan the mobile voucher QR code at the exact location .
6. Select the pass start date. (You can select up to 1 month in the future)
7. Click Agree to the information about pass receipt qualifications and personal information. (Total 2 questions)
8. Please scan your e-passport at the correct location . (If it is not an e-passport, you cannot scan it and must collect it in person.)
9. On the confirmation page, check the product and collect your rail pass.

Ticket exchange is now possible at Kansai Airport's white ticket machines

It used to be possible only at green ticket machines, but now it is also possible to exchange tickets at white ticket machines. Please note that it is only possible in the direction from the airport to the city center.

*When moving from the airport to Kobe and Nara, you need a ticket issued by a green ticket machine because you will need to change to a local train at Osaka Station/Tennoji Station in the middle. Please do not issue a ticket using a white ticket machine.

How to take the Haruka train from Kansai Airport

If you have exchanged your ticket, now it is time to actually board it. You may be worried whether you will be able to catch the Haruka Express train from the airport in Korea. However, the Haruka Express train boarding area is connected to the airport, so anyone can find it without difficulty.

Check the movement order:
1. Take the escalator at the airport to the 2nd floor.
2. Check Gate B on the 2nd floor
3. Check the ticket gate for the Haruka Limited Express train to Kyoto
4. Insert your Haruka Express ticket into the ticket gate and you're done!

Is this a reserved seat?

Haruka Express train tickets can be used for both reserved and non-reserved seats. Reserved seats can be reserved at the ticket machine or Midori-no-Madoguchi . Non-reserved seats can be boarded on-site in the 'Non-Reserved 5-6' car . This is a space where non-reserved seat holders can sit freely, so board here.

Once you are seated, a flight attendant will come to you after departure and ask you to show your ticket. All you have to do is show your ticket.
