The Royal Palace of Amsterdam is a royal palace with a history of over 200 years. Its small and simple appearance makes it hard to believe that it is still in use today. Because the Dutch royal family inherently values dialogue with the people rather than authority, it creates a comfortable and simple atmosphere rather than a sense of discomfort. In particular, this building is famous for being a 'recycled' building that was built as a city hall.
The interior is more luxurious than the exterior, making it a great travel destination to visit at least once.

Classic exterior, gorgeous interior
The Royal Palace of Amsterdam, with its thoroughly classical exterior and splendid interior, was created by several of the greatest architects and sculptors of its time.
The walls and roof of the palace were artistically created with much time and effort by leading artists, including the famous sculptor Artus Quellinus and Ferdinand Bol and Govert Flinck, disciples of Rembrandt. The cost was so high that the construction of the New Church (De Nieuwe Kerk), which was being built at the same time, was temporarily halted when the city of Amsterdam needed more funds than planned. After all these efforts, it was completed in 1665.
A symbol of Dutch classical architecture
The Royal Palace of Amsterdam, Netherlands, is a symbol of 17th-century Dutch classical architecture and served as the political center of Amsterdam and the Netherlands for nearly 200 years. When the Netherlands was occupied by France, it was used as a palace by Louis Napoleon, the younger brother of Emperor Napoleon, and many of the luxurious furniture and decorations were imported during the Napoleonic occupation.
