If you are planning to visit Sintra, a city near Lisbon, I recommend visiting the Moorish Castle. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995, this place is a popular attraction visited by more than 500,000 tourists every year due to its long history and wonderful views of Portugal. Climbing the 2km-long ramparts may be tiring, but the panoramic view from the Moorish Castle is truly fantastic! It doesn’t end there. The harmony between the ramparts and nature that you encounter as you climb up the ramparts is also truly wonderful.
