The San Diego Museum of Natural History, located in Balboa Park, was founded in 1874 as the San Diego Natural History Society. It offers a variety of exhibits and educational programs focusing on the natural history of Southern California and Baja California, and is a leader in exploring the relationship between nature and humans and in raising awareness of the importance of environmental conservation.
Inside, you can see a variety of exhibits including fossils, gems, skulls, and more, and sit in front of a large screen to watch 2D and 3D movies.
