How to get tickets
1. Please prepare your passport and mobile voucher.
2. Select a language from the top menu of the ticket machine. (English, Chinese, Korean supported)
3. Select “Recieve reserved ticket”
4. Select “Exchange for Japan Pass”
5. Scan the mobile voucher QR code at the correct location .
6. Please select the pass start date. (You can select a date up to 1 month later)
7. Click Agree to the information regarding pass receipt eligibility and personal information. (2 questions in total)
8. Scan your electronic passport at the correct location . (If it is not an electronic passport, it cannot be scanned and received in person)
9. Check the product on the confirmation page and receive your rail pass.

• Holders of Japanese passports are not permitted to use this service.
• Once the voucher has been exchanged for a physical ticket, it is only valid for the date specified when exchanging the ticket.
• This product is an automatic reservation product and can be used on the same day of reservation.
• The voucher is valid for 90 days (from the date of purchase, not the date of use).
• If you are reserving more than 2 tickets, please enter the information of all the people who will be using the ticket, not the representative's information. Otherwise, tickets will not be issued.
• Once you start using the ticket after it has been issued, refunds are not possible even if the train is out of service.
• Ticket machines are only allowed to issue tickets if they are marked “5689” and have a passport reader.
• Users who have a residence permit in Japan, such as a permanent resident visa holder, work visa, or student visa, cannot use the product. (Limited to short-term stay)
• Physical ticket machines are available in Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, and Korean.
• If the ticket machine is defective or your passport does not have an IC chip, please go to the designated station counter (Midori-no-madoguchi) to receive a physical ticket.
• The location of the station counter (Midori-no-Madoguchi) is indicated at each station.
• If you need additional tickets for your trip, please purchase them at a JR West station before boarding.
• When issuing tickets, please click the purple “Exchange for Japan Pass (E-Ticket)” button, not the blue “JR-WEST ONLINE TRAIN RESERVATION” button.
• You can issue reserved seat tickets for limited express HARUKA, Shinkansen, etc. You can issue unlimited reserved seat tickets, but from the 7th time onwards, please issue a reservation ticket at the Midori no Madoguchi (みどりの窓口) instead of the ticket machine.
