A nature-friendly place,
Barcelona Zoo
Barcelona Zoo is located in Ciutadella Park and places the welfare and protection of animals as its top priority. In particular, we are conducting various programs and research to conserve endangered animals. There are over 4,000 animals inside, and there are various species that children can enjoy. In particular, visitors can get useful information because they provide animal briefings about the animals.
Operated by the city of Barcelona
The Barcelona Zoo is operated directly by the city after Lluis Marti donated it to the city. It covers an area of 130,000 square meters and is home to more than 4,000 animals of 400 species. In particular, the African Garden was created for the first time in Barcelona, where giraffes, hippopotamuses, rhinos, and zebras are fed, and a deep ditch is used to demarcate it. Artificial waterfalls are also created to support various waterfowl. It's nice to be able to see a variety of animals living here.
