From Seibu Shinjuku Station to Honkawagoe Station,
Round-trip Seibu Kawagoe Pass!
The Seibu Kawagoe Pass is a pass that allows a one-time round trip from Ikebukuro, Seibu Shinjuku, or Takadanobaba Station to Hon-Kawagoe Station.
Koedo Kawagoe was a bustling town with people traveling to and from Edo via the Kawagoe Kaido and Shingashi River. It is a popular tourist destination where you can look back and enjoy Japanese history from the 16th to 20th centuries, from Edo to Taisho, Meiji, and Showa, all in just 50 minutes from Shinjuku.
How to use the Seibu Kawagoe Pass
How to exchange voucher for physical ticket:
After purchasing from WAUG, you can exchange the QR code voucher you receive for a physical ticket at the Seibu Ikebukuro Tourist Information Center (outside the ticket gate on the 1st floor of the East Exit of Ikebukuro Seibu Line) and use it.
How to use your physical ticket:
If you present your Seibu Kawagoe Pass (ticket) to the station staff at the open counters of Seibu Ikebukuro Station, Seibu Shinjuku Station, and Seibu Takadanobaba Station, the station staff will stamp the date of use in the stamp column at the bottom. After that, you can show your ticket to the station staff, pass through the gate, and board the train.
It's more comfortable because it's a reserved seat!
This is the Red Arrow Limited Express train that can be used from Seibu Shinjuku Station and Takadanobaba Station to Hon-Kawagoe Station. All seats are reserved, and you can use the comfortable seats, so you can have a pleasant trip. If you are visiting Kawagoe for travel or business, please use it. (※A separate fee is required when using the limited express train.)
Recommended travel destinations in Kawagoe
If you visit Kawagoe with the Seibu Kawagoe Pass, a must-visit place is the Starbucks store. It is a sentimental space that combines the traditional Japanese feel with Starbucks, and it is so pretty that I highly recommend taking an Instagram photo here.
