Southeast Botanical Garden is already famous as Japan's largest botanical garden with a history of about 40 years!
It has an area of about 45,000 pyeong and has over 1,300 species of subtropical plants and palm trees from Southeast Asia, Africa, and South America. In particular, you can enjoy the Yusura palm tree-lined road, the best in Japan, as well as baobab trees, lotus flowers, and dragon blood trees. Inside, there are several ponds and lakes, along with various plants and trees, creating an elegant atmosphere, making it a perfect date course.
You can meet cute squirrel monkeys and capybaras at the animal encounter plaza, and for an additional fee, you can even enjoy a feeding experience. As the name suggests, spend a warm day in a paradise created by animals and plants.

- Alexander Palm Tree
Alexander palm trees can only be grown in greenhouses in mainland Japan, but here you can enjoy the incredible sight of countless palm trees growing straight toward the sky. This palm tree-lined street is also a popular spiritual site.
- Baobab tree
Native to Madagascar, the Java Baobab tree can be found in the Southeastern Botanical Gardens. The leaves are eaten as a vegetable, the roots are used as medicine, and no part of the tree is wasted.
- Lotus
When Okinawa enters the rainy season, lotus flowers begin to bloom, and you can enjoy the spectacular sight of large ponds being covered with white and pink lotus flowers.
- Dragon Blood Tree
As the name suggests, the dragon blood tree is a tree that produces dark red raisins called dragon blood. Don't miss this unique opportunity to see the Dragon's Blood Forest without having to go to its natural habitat!
