BESTIt was delicious and friendly. However, the service was very slow, so the dinner course took 3 hours... I don't think it's worth paying 250,000 won per person to eat there. If you think Kyoto restaurants are famous, you have to wait in line for a long time to get in, so unless you want to experience a high-class restaurant with adults and a reservation in advance, I wouldn't recommend it.
Traditional Japanese cuisine using seasonal ingredients,
Kyoto Mokube
Kaiseki restaurants, which are authentic Kyoto cuisine, are Japanese formal cuisines prepared according to the customer's taste according to the season. As they are authentic dishes, they are served with a traditional atmosphere, and you can easily find Kaiseki in Kyoto, which has been operated for four generations. In addition, in order to present the best taste to customers, they always prepare fresh ingredients and present seasonal food as a gift.
Enjoy the flavors and history of Japan at a Kyoto kaiseki restaurant, with a variety of flavors and colorful appearances!
Persistence and spirit
Mokube has made what it is today through tradition and persistence that has been passed down for four generations.
1. Ingredients:
We use 100% Kyoto and local ingredients to maintain seasonal freshness. We present exquisite dishes that bring out the original flavor of the ingredients.
2. Technology:
Tableware also has a tradition. It shows the Japanese style by using natural materials such as wood, stone, and green.
3. Culture:
The wood, the walls, the decorations that decorate the store. Even a single table and chair has its own spirit, tradition, and culture.
Seasonal ingredients and sake, the culture of Kyoto
Located in Gion, Kyoto, a place of great historical and cultural value, Mokube strives to capture the culture of Kyoto. With the theme of “local production for local consumption,” they insist on using local ingredients.
Additionally, the interior is designed in a Kyomachiya style that highlights the craftsmanship of the craftsmen.
