Meet nature near Tokyo,
Moomin Valley Park
"Happiness that's right next to you, but you just didn't notice it" At Moomin Valley Park, you can have a variety of experiences, including the Moomin House where the Moomins live, the swimming pool house that appears in the story, the lighthouse, and life entertainment with the Moomins and their friends.
There is also a small lake where you can heal, and there are many great places to take pretty pictures with nature in the background.
How to get to Moominvalley Park
I will introduce how to get to Moominvalley Park from downtown Tokyo. I recommend taking the train. It takes about 50 minutes from Ikebukuro Station, about 70 minutes from Tokyo Station, and about 25 minutes from Kawagoe Station to get to Moominvalley Park. You can get to Moominvalley Park by taking the Seibu Line and get off at Hanno Station!
WAUG also sells the Moominvalley Park + Seibu 1-Day Pass Ticket, which allows unlimited use of Seibu lines (excluding the Tamagawa Line) for one day and a round-trip bus ride from Hanno Station to Moominvalley Park.
Moomin Valley Park Area
Moominvalley Park is divided into four areas. I will introduce each area!
1. POUKAMA Start downtown area
At the entrance to Moomin Valley Park, there is a restaurant where you can enjoy a variety of pancake menus, as well as a goods shop.
2. MUUMILAAKSO Moomin Valley Area
This is practically the main area. There is the live entertainment 'Emma's Theater' and the adventure experience 'Orchestra of the Sea'.
3. KOKEMUS Moss Zone (Experience Zone)
This is an exhibition facility on the 3rd floor. There is an interactive experience exhibition space and a special exhibition, and you can also experience workshops.
There is also a select shop & cafe that sells imported Moomin goods from Northern Europe!
4. YKSINÄISET VUORET Lonely Mountain Area
This area is a place where children can play healthily in nature, with the concept of a mountain of adventure and reflection.
Take a picture with Moomin characters
Since it is Moomin Valley Park, there are naturally many places where you can take pictures with Moomins. There are many photo zones, and they are cute and pretty, making them great for taking pictures. In particular, the blue house in the photo is one of the popular photo spots in Moomin Valley Park.
You can also take a boat ride on the lake.
Moominvalley Park is located near a lake, so you can take a boat ride here. It would be great to try a leisurely boat ride in a place with great scenery!
A fairy tale town perfect for taking pictures
Moomin Valley Park feels like our country's Namiseom Island. So there are many places here and there that are really good for taking pictures. In May, there are pretty flowers, and in the fall, you can see autumn leaves. In particular, the path decorated with umbrellas is one of the best photo spots in Moomin Valley Park.
