BESTIt was so nice. It's wide open and not that high, but you can really see everything. And be sure to pay extra and go to the observatory at the top. It was the best.
Osaka's representative landmark,
Osaka Tsutenkaku
Osaka Tsutenkaku is highly recommended for those who visit Osaka but don't know where to go, or for those who want to see the beautiful view of Osaka at a glance! Unlike regular observatories, Osaka Tsutenkaku is a place with a lot of things to see as it combines various exhibitions, photo spots, cafes, and an observatory.
Tsutenkaku is a landmark tower in Osaka. It is located on Shinsekai Street, Ebisubhigashi, Naniwa-ku, Osaka, and is a great place to visit while enjoying shopping and sightseeing in the area. Also, if you are a manga fanatic, I highly recommend you visit this place as it appears often in comics set in Osaka!
Enjoy various exhibitions
Osaka scenery
Visit the exciting observatory filled with various lights and mirror balls! Beautiful during the day, but even more beautiful at night, the observatory has various exhibitions prepared on each floor.
In the Tsutenkaku Garden, there is Ganesha, the elephant who grants dreams, so if you have a wish that has not been granted, try telling the elephant carefully.
There are many things to see like a museum, and there are plenty of souvenirs to keep your memories of the observatory. Make unforgettable memories at the observatory, which is beautiful during the day and dazzlingly bright at night!
Let me introduce you to the internal facilities!
B1 Wakuwaku Land:
- This is a space where various famous food stores are located. You can buy various instant foods, and each shop has a photo zone where you can take pictures, so be sure to visit.
1F Tsutenkaku Entrance
2F Kinnikuman Project Archive Corner:
- You can see an exhibition presented by Yudemago, the founder of Kinnikuman!
- Exhibits may change from time to time.
2F & 3F Tower Slider:
- If you climb the spiral staircase from the 2nd to the 3rd floor, you can see the new experiential attraction “TOWER SLIDER”!
- Experience the slide that circles the tower's perimeter and slides down from 22m above ground to the first basement level in about 10 seconds!
3F Cafe de Luna Park
- The third floor exhibits dioramas, videos, and photos from about 100 years ago.
- In addition to richly flavored soft serve ice cream, Cafe de Luna Park also sells Osaka's famous mixed juice and original Tsutenkaku parfait.
4F View of the Light
- At night, the 4th floor light observatory transforms into a disco-style observatory with colorful lights and mirror balls.
- At the Light Observatory, there are signs in Japanese and English that tell you which landmarks you can see in each direction, so be sure to look for them! If the weather is good, you can even see Kansai International Airport, the Tower of the Sun, and Akashi Kaikyo Bridge.
5F Golden Observatory
- You can see the entire Osaka city from the best viewpoint, and you can meet the golden Billiken, which is said to bring good luck if you rub its soles.
Special outdoor observatory, Tenbo Paradise
To visit Tenbo Paradise, you must purchase admission tickets individually at the information counter on the 5th floor!
Climb the stairs and go outdoors to enjoy the thrill and excitement of looking up at the sky while enjoying the panoramic view of Osaka and the breeze of the four seasons.
I recommend you visit there, as the view is so beautiful that it is rumored among locals to be a great place to confess your love and propose!
You can also dive at Tsutenkaku!
There is also a thrilling dive and walk attraction where you can wear safety equipment and dive vertically from a height of about 40m at the Tsutenkaku Observatory! It is not dangerous because you will be wearing safety equipment that has passed strict safety inspections during the diving experience!
