Meet the communist era
Memento Park features approximately 40 statues and monuments. His most famous works include the Starin statue, the Lenin statue, and the red star on the Hungarian Workers' Party headquarters building. Guide to major attractions
Stalin statue:
The largest statue of Starin in Hungary, it was destroyed by citizens during the Hungarian Uprising in 1956. It is currently being reassembled and displayed at Memento Park.
Lenin statue:
One of several statues of Lenin throughout Hungary that was removed after the fall of the communist regime in Hungary in 1989. It is currently on display at Memento Park.
Red star on the Hungarian Workers' Party headquarters building:
The red star, a symbol of Hungary's socialist era, was removed after the collapse of Hungary's communist regime in 1989. It is currently on display at Memento Park.
