Maybe because it's in the Asian region, the ceramics and things I often see in museums in our country are similar, so I just glanced at them. I wondered how they made the cabbage leaves and Dongpo pork. It was amazing. There were a lot of dragons called Cheongryonghae, and there were many cute and pretty things. I don't speak Chinese, so it took me 1 hour 30-2 hours just to glance at them.

Highlights

The world's four greatest museums,
National Palace Museum, Taipei

Let me introduce you to the National Palace Museum in Taiwan, which is considered one of the four largest museums in the world. This place boasts a scale unrivaled in Asia, and it has become popular in Korea as well after being featured on “Grandpas Over Flowers.”

Buying tickets at WAG is cheaper than buying them on site, and it's more convenient because you can enter right away by scanning the QR code.

Program

Taiwan Museum One Pick,
Taipei National Palace Museum

The Taipei Palace Museum, which is said to be inspired by China's Forbidden City, boasts an unrivaled scale in Asia. It is said to be one of the world's four largest museums, so only those who have been there can understand its grandeur. It houses approximately 690,000 relics, and the treasures are changed regularly, making it a great place to visit any time as there is plenty to see even when revisiting.

In Korea, its popularity has increased since it was aired on tvN's popular program 'Grandpas Over Flowers', and it has become a must-visit travel destination in Taipei. Because it is so large and has so many relics, you can enjoy the experience more effectively if you plan in advance which places you will focus on before visiting.

There are various collections

Taiwan's National Palace Museum has a variety of exhibits. Among these, we introduce some representative relics that you must see.

1. Heok Hyeong-seok:
On display in room 302 on the 3rd floor is Dongpo Pork made using stones. It's really sophisticated.

2. Emerald Baekchae:
Many people visit to see this relic that resembles a cabbage.

3. Ivory painting figure concentric sphere:
It is a work of art that is carved from ivory into a ball and has a ball inside it, making it look like a millefeuille jade sculpture.

for a moment! Looking for a docent tour?

What if it's too big and difficult to see alone? I recommend a docent tour. You can also book docent tours at WAUG at a discounted price.
