BESTI recommend it near Tokyo. Outside of the city center, there were still old Edo buildings, so there was no time to get bored. There is also a major festival in October that is part of the three major festivals, so it would be a good time to try it.
Sawara boat experience
Meet Little Edo
Enjoy the Koedo Sawara boat tour from Sawara, Katori City, Chiba Prefecture! Sawara is a place where the old Japanese scenery remains luxurious, and it is great to be able to take a boat ride while looking at the streets of Sawara. As the boatman tells you about the town's charms while rowing, you'll discover surprises that you can't experience on foot :) It's also great that you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Koedo from a riverside viewpoint.
How to get to Sawara Boat Experience
The Sawara boat experience can be found within a 12-minute walk from Sawara Station. Sawara itself has buildings from the Edo period lined up along the river, and it has a really pretty old look, so I definitely recommend a visit.
Why you should take a Sawara boat ride
Sawara city itself is very pretty, but the view from the boat is even prettier! If you are planning a trip to the outskirts of Tokyo, including the beautiful irises blooming along the riverside, the scenery of the railroad crossing where the train passes by, and the feeling of leisurely healing, I recommend that you definitely try the boat experience in Sawara.
