Regular ticket VS Special ticket?
The Hong Kong Palace Museum is divided into regular tickets and special tickets. The reason the tickets are divided like this is because there is a separate special exhibition hall, and special tickets allow you to see the special exhibition hall as well.
In general, you can see up to exhibition hall 7 with a regular ticket, and you can see exhibitions in halls 8 and 9 with a special ticket. What to Remember
- Tickets will be sent within 3 days of your selected visit date . Tickets are available for direct entry. (Example: If you select February 10th as your visit date, your tickets will be sent between February 7th and 9th.)
- Please arrive on time for your reservation. If you exceed the time limit, you may be able to enter later depending on circumstances. All decisions are at the discretion of the museum.
- Backpacks or items larger than 30 x 42 x 10 cm cannot be brought into Exhibition Hall 8. Visitors with special exhibition tickets can store their belongings in the luggage storage room on the 4th floor of the museum if necessary before entering the exhibition hall.
- One ticket per person; preschool children must have a ticket to enter regardless of age. Children under 6 years old can enter for free (reservation must be made on the website and a valid ticket is required to enter). Visitors under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult to enter the museum. Each ticket is only valid for one entry.
- You can take pictures, but you must turn off the flash and only record in certain areas. If you would like to film a video, please look carefully at the signs in the exhibition hall or ask a staff member.
- Smoking, including the use of electronic cigarettes, is strictly prohibited.
- For the safety of the collection, eating and drinking is prohibited in the exhibition hall.
- Please help protect the objects on display in the museum and avoid touching them.
- To enhance the safety of the museum and its visitors, visitors must undergo security screening at the museum entrance and inside the museum building.
