Lombok is an island located right next to Bali. It is a place with a different charm from Bali, so much so that it is called the second Bali. It is a place with beautiful beaches, the cone-shaped volcano Gunung Rinjani, and a leisurely atmosphere where you can feel relaxed. Unlike Bali, there are many quiet spots without people, making it a perfect place for those who want to relax.

Take a public boat

Public boats are a means of transportation mainly used by locals. There may be a wait as a large group of people must gather to depart, but it can also be a place where you can vividly meet the friendly sight of travelers carrying large backpacks and locals going back and forth between the islands. After boarding a public boat and enjoying a leisurely 30 minutes, you will reach Lombok.

When returning from the tour, take a speedboat with no restrictions on boarding time. You can depart any time you want, and get from Lombok to Gili in just 15 minutes!

You can also upgrade to a speedboat when the tour departs.

Temple with the name ‘Hole Stone’

There are two Batu Bolong temples, one in Kuta and one in Lombok. The place we will visit is in Lombok. It's a beautiful temple near the sea. Batu Bolong Temple is a temple with a hole in the middle of the stone created by the sea. It honors the sanctity of God and is said to be the most typical Indonesian temple among Balinese temples. I especially recommend taking a close look at the symmetrical door shape at the entrance to the temple.

Merese Hill where you can see the sunset

Mrese Hill is a ‘sunset spot’ where you can enjoy a wonderful sunset. It is a place loved not only by tourists but also by locals as it offers a view of the scenery turning red with the sunset and the endless sea right in front of you. Located in the southern part of Lombok, it is a quiet place without crowds, so you can fully enjoy true relaxation and healing time. It is a must to take great photos of your life with the red sky in the background!

It is said that on Mrese Hill, you can meet street vendors selling beer and men selling peanuts with exciting songs, so don't miss out on the enchanting experience of watching the sunset while drinking beer.

Introducing the tour schedule

1. 10:00 AM -
Meet your guide at the meeting point
Departures are available from all 3 gilis, including Gili Trawangan, Gili Air, and Gili Meno. The tour begins after meeting the guide at Lombok Bangsal Public Boat Dock.

2. Board a public boat and go to Lombok
Public boats are a popular means of transportation for locals. Although you have to gather a large number of people to set off, you can vividly meet the friendly faces of the locals. Hop on the boat and enjoy about 30 minutes to arrive at Lombok. If you want to ride alone, we recommend riding a speedboat.

3. 11:30 AM - Batu Bolong Temple
Batu Bolong Temple, which means 'holey stone' in Indonesian, is a temple with a mysterious feel as it has a symmetrical door shape that is typical of an Indonesian-style temple entrance. You can stop by the temple and buy a sarung, Indonesia's unique costume, and souvenirs.

4. 12:30 PM - Lunch at Utama, a Lombok satay restaurant.
This is a traditional Indonesian skewered satay restaurant on the way to Pink Beach. It is a dish made by grilling meat cut into bite-sized pieces on skewers. The main ingredients are various, including chicken and goat meat. It is said to be a popular restaurant in Jakarta, so I recommend you to visit.

5. 14:00 - Mosque
Visit the largest mosque in Lombok. Dress up according to Islamic religious rites and beat the drums. Afterwards, follow the guide's guidance to tour the inside of the building and climb to the observatory. The observatory is about 10 stories high and is currently accessible on foot. If you walk steadily, you will soon arrive at the halfway point of the observatory! Take photos overlooking downtown Lombok at a glance.

6. 16:00 - Tanjungan Beach
Stop by Tanjungan Beach, famous for its white sand, and enjoy the beautiful sea. Tanjungan Beach, located at the southern end, is relatively quiet and not crowded, making it a great place to take great photos.

7. 16:30 PM - Watch the sunset at Mresse Hill
From ‘Mresse’ Hill, you can enjoy views of the vast hills and the endless emerald sea. When you climb the hill, a unique landscape unfolds as if you were in a desert, but when you reach the end of the hill, you can see the vast sea of Lombok. Watch the sun set on the hill and take a commemorative photo.

8. 18:00 PM - Kuta Mandalika Beach & Dinner (not included)
Lombok Mandalika Beach has a beautiful night view. Enjoy a walk in the cool night air, and visit the food trucks or restaurants lined up nearby to enjoy a meal that suits your taste.

9. 19:00 PM - Move to boat dock
After eating, head to the boat dock and take a speedboat back to Gili. It takes about 15 minutes and will get you to the Gili Islands quickly and safely.
