Okinawa Surfing Session (Departure from Chatan)

Enjoy surfing together!

Enjoy surfing in the waters of Chatan, Okinawa, which can be enjoyed by everyone, from children to adults! You can choose the level of surfing lesson option that suits each of you, so you can learn to surf easily and comfortably. The surfing session takes place in the ocean near American Village, and you can get picked up in the Chatan area.


Available options

1. Surfing experience course (beginner)
This is a beginner-only course, so if you are interested in surfing but have never had the chance, this is a perfect opportunity to try it.

2. Family surfing class (beginners available)
Children aged 3 and older who can enjoy water play can participate. After wearing a life jacket, you can board the surfboard with an experienced instructor, so you can ride with peace of mind without any worries. How about a surfing experience with the whole family?

3. Advanced surfing (experienced)
We recommend the advanced course to those with surfing experience who want to improve their surfing skills, those who are still anxious about surfing alone, and those who want to step up! Enjoy surfing and feel the waves of Okinawa with your whole body.


Surfing session progress sequence

1. After picking up at the American Village area or meeting at Haisai for Surfside Service, board the vehicle and go to the surfing point.
2. For land training, go into shallow water and practice paddling.
3. Go into the ocean to catch the waves and experience surfing under the guidance of an instructor.
4. Board the vehicle and go back to the office, shower and change clothes, then disperse individually.

*The total time required is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, and the surfing experience takes approximately 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes.


There are professional instructors

The instructors hosting the course are certified by the International Surfing Association (ISA) and the Japan Surfing Association (NSA), so they have expertise and a wealth of experience. Therefore, there is no need to worry because even if you are a beginner who cannot swim, you can enjoy surfing safely under the guidance of an instructor.

Family surfing classes offer lessons at a level appropriate for children and adults, and for experienced surfers, we provide customized lessons to improve their surfing skills.
