Symbols of Yokohama,
Yokohama Marine Tower
Yokohama Marine Tower is a tower built by remodeling an existing lighthouse. It is in the form of a 106m high 10-sided tower, and the top part is still used as a lighthouse to this day. The lighthouse's illumination extends up to 46km, and it is famous as the world's tallest lighthouse on land. There is a lounge on the first floor, a store on the second floor, and a marine science museum on the third floor that displays various materials related to marine products and the ocean.
Nearby is the 296m Landmark Tower, the tallest building in Yokohama, and Yamashita Park, making it convenient for travel within Yokohama.
There is a lounge area on the first floor.
There are unique and unique stores, such as a restaurant open from morning to night and a Hawaiian-themed goods store. There is also a restaurant with a nice atmosphere where you can taste Italian cuisine, and it has private rooms, giving you a private space.
Introducing the 2nd to 4th floors
There is a Yokohama City Guide Association on the second floor, and those who wish can receive a general guide to the Yokohama area by paying a separate fee on site. (Approximately 2,500 to 5,000 yen per guide) There are also exhibitions that introduce Yokohama in a more understandable way, such as photo books, architecture, history books, and records related to Yokohama. Admission is free, so I recommend you feel free to visit!
On the 4th floor, there is a store called “THE TERRACE yokohama marine tower”, an Italian restaurant in a retro style that pays homage to traditional Italian food. We use fresh fish caught in the waters of southern Kanagawa Prefecture and focus on local ingredients to provide a unique, Italian-based menu that is free from restrictions.
The interior of the store is also a simple and luxurious trouteria that resembles an Italian restaurant, so you can enjoy a casual, unadorned style.
