BESTIt was more fun than I thought, and the trick art was amazing. I never thought goldfish could be so diverse.
I didn't know until now,
Art expressed through goldfish
The Nara Kingyo Museum is more than just a goldfish museum; it is an entertainment aquarium that offers a space of surprise, healing, and excitement that can be felt with all five senses.
In Nara Prefecture, one of Japan's three major goldfish producing regions, you can see goldfish expressed in various ways by current popular artists. Everything in the aquarium is a space of art, so capture every moment with your own eyes!
Between the exhibition and the aquarium,
Kingyo Museum
At the Nara Kinkyo Museum, you can experience the various expressions of artists that can only be seen here, such as projection mapping, flowers, terrariums, and mirror balls. Here, rather than learning about goldfish, you can heal yourself by looking at the artistic backgrounds that go well with swimming goldfish. From the familiar breeds to the rare breeds, take pictures of the goldfish swimming gracefully.
So, let me introduce you to how artists create artistic environments with goldfish.
Disco Aquarium with Mirror Ball
Mirror Ball Disco Night combines the four seasons of old Japan with goldfish, cutting-edge technology, and mirror balls. The world's first diamond-cut aquarium with a dazzling design radiates light and is displayed by completely reflecting the light coming from inside. You can experience the world of goldfish swimming like flowers.
This space is especially gorgeous and bright, so you can take wonderful photos that you can't see anywhere else. Find your own photo spot and take as many photos as you want.
Japan itself! Japone Alley
This is a space where you can feel the ultimate Japaneseness. The streetscape of Edo is recreated with a charming atmosphere like an oiran procession. In spring, cherry blossoms bloom, and in fall, autumn leaves are in full bloom, allowing you to enjoy the four seasons of Japan. The beauty of Japan expressed through 21 Japanese umbrellas, and we welcome you with colorful art. The combination of the streetscape of the Edo period and goldfish makes this a space with an upgraded sense of mystery.
Aqua Oasis
It is a fascinating power spot that beautifully displays goldfish like living jewels. Goldfish can swim on a 12-meter wide wall with fantasy projection mapping of underwater, forest, and colorful flowers as the background. Be sure to experience the unique charm of healing that you can only experience here!
In addition, there is also goldfish trick art, a goldfish original goods shop, etc., sold here. Fall in love with cute goldfish in this wonderful space!
