Two-story ropeway
Take a ride on Japan's only double-decker ropeway and enjoy the magnificent scenery of the Northern Japan Alps. Shinhotaka Ropeway allows everyone from children to seniors to comfortably travel up to 2,000m above sea level and enjoy the scenery! What's more, the spectacular view from the observation deck at the top of Nishihotaka Station has earned it two stars from the Michelin Green Guide, which selects places where you can enjoy traveling while preserving nature and culture.

Ropeway Usage Guide
1. Take the ropeway from Shinhotaka Onsen Station to Nabedaira Kogen Station.
2. From Nabedaira Kogen Station, walk to Shirakabadaira Station and transfer.
3. Take the ropeway from Shirakabadaira Station to Nishi-Hotakaguchi Station.
Ropeway Facility Guide
Shinhotaka Onsen Station
: Shinhotaka Onsen Station, the ropeway departure station, has restaurants selling meals like curry and ramen, desserts, and even a souvenir shop. Be sure to stop by before you leave!
Shirakabadaira Station
: Here, you can enjoy a foot bath while looking out at the second ropeway. They also sell bread, pudding, and drinks, so why not enjoy them together?
Nishihotakaguchi Station
: The 1st and 2nd floors are the station, the 3rd floor is a store, the 4th floor is a restaurant, and the rooftop is an observation deck. It boasts an outstanding view, as it was awarded 2 stars in the Michelin Green Guide Japan. Have a great time at Nishihotakaguchi Station, which is full of things to see and do.

What to Remember
- Preschool children can ride for free.
- Pets other than guide dogs are not allowed on the ropeway.
- As this is an area with heavy snowfall, please be careful when visiting.

- In case of strong winds, operation may be suspended regardless of the weather for safety reasons. You can check the operation status on the official website on the day.
- Wheelchair users can use the elevator or ramp to get to Nishihotakaguchi Station.
