Discover Singapore’s fifth wildlife park, Rainforest Wild Asia, now at WAUG.
As Asia's first adventure-based zoo, you can see wild animals as if you were adventuring through a forest by recreating the rainforest of Southeast Asia. Malayan tigers, otters, crocodiles, and even cobras! Meet 36 species of animals up close. Divided into 10 theme zones, you can tour the different animal habitats for each theme and experience unique interactions with animals!
Adventure in a giant rainforest!
Rainforest Wild Asia
Visit the new Rainforest Wild Asia, opening in March 2025. Unlike your average zoo, this 13-hectare space will allow you to venture into the lush rainforest and meet wild animals. Rainforest Wild Asia is located in Wild West within Mandai Wildlife Park, close to Bird Paradise. Rainforest Wild Asia is divided into 10 themed areas, allowing you to explore various terrains such as Mangrove Walk, Karst, and Canopy, and meet animals. So, make sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothes!
The biggest attraction of Rainforest Wild Asia is that you can meet wild animals and explore various terrains such as caves and waterfalls in the rainforest.
Introduction to the main theme areas
Flexible habitats
Wild animals such as red lynx and babirusa appear here at certain times of the day. It is called a ‘flexible habitat’ area because you can observe the natural behavior of various animals up close.
The Karsts
Take in the magnificent backdrop of rugged limestone formations, the Karst! In particular, you can see langur monkeys running around freely in this terrain.
Forest Floor & Rock Cascade Forest Floor & Rock Cascade
Go through the forest through fallen logs and rocks! You can reach the rock waterfall, the habitat of the Malayan tiger. Meet the tigers running among the waterfall, stream, and rocks.
The Canopy
The Canopy is where you can meet animals living high in the treetops. Try to catch a glimpse of Javan langurs and red-shanked douc langurs, two monkey species, hopping around.
The Cavern
A massive cave formation inspired by the Mulu Caves in Sarawak. Explore safe underground passages and spot racer snakes and giant black scorpions.
