BESTWhen I arrived between 11:30 am and 12:00 am local time on weekends, there were few people, so there was no difference between the QR code and the ticket. However, around 2:30, when I came out after looking around, the line was even outside the building. If you plan to visit in the afternoon, it is better to buy a QR unconditionally, and if you are going to visit in the morning, just go with the ticket. Wow, it's the building I was looking forward to the most during my trip, and I really liked it enough to meet that expectation. The review said that I watched it for about 1 hour, so I thought about 1.5 hours and made a schedule.. I watched 3 hours with a friend haha. It's really gorgeous, and there's an audio guide (6.5€, in Korean), so I recommend you to see it. If there are 3 or less people in the group, it would be nice to rent one person and take turns listening to it every time you move. The explanation for each space is only 1-2 minutes, but you have to wait in line for a while at the spot to take pictures in turn anyway. The two of us are taking pictures, but it's burdensome, it's inconvenient to go to the bathroom, and the tablet is quite large and heavy... Anyway, I really liked the building itself!! Really must go!! The building is so pretty that it would be reasonable to take a picture with a phone camera (LG). Architecturally worth seeing!
The most gorgeous in the world,
Opera Garnier
The official name of the Opera Garnier, 'National Academy of Music-Opera Theatre', was designed by French architect Charles Garnier. So it's easy to think that Garnier was added to the name of this place. As expected of a neo-Baroque building, the building is made up of gorgeous paintings and sculptures both inside and out. It is especially famous for its golden-colored interior and the theater's ceiling painting, 'Bouquet of Dreams', painted by Marc Chagall.
Opera Garnier is also famous as the location that served as the inspiration for 'The Phantom of the Opera'. Opera and ballet performances are still held at the theater today, so if you want a special experience, it's a good idea to see a performance.

Get fast track entry to the Opera Garnier
Visit the Opera Garnier, the most spectacular building in Paris. The Opera Garnier, created during the reign of Napoleon III, was named Opera Garnier after the architect who designed it, Charles Garnier.
Garnier's architecture stands out for its splendor, and in particular, the grand staircase at the entrance is said to have brought out the splendor of marble! Visit and admire the façade, which features rose-colored marble columns, baroque statues and elaborately carved friezes.
How to get to Opera Garnier
The Paris Opera Garnier is located in zone 1, district 9, downtown Paris. The easiest way is to get to the subway station. Get off at Opera Station. One of the great things about Opéra Garnier is that after seeing it, there are Lafayette Department Store and Prétin Department Store right next to it.
So, you can go shopping right after seeing the Opera Garnier.
A story about Opera Garnier
Is there anything that comes to mind when you look at the exterior of the Paris Opera Garnier? Parisians call the Opera Garnier building ‘wedding cake.’ It looks a bit like a cake, right? In particular, the statues above look like candles.
Inside the building is a performance hall with approximately 2,106 seats. It's not huge, but it's really gorgeous. Performances by Jean Palip Rameau, Christoph Valibald Gluck, and Jean-Baptiste Lully have been held here, and to date, more than 600 operas and 300 ballet performances have been held.
I'm in love with the more colorful interior.
If you look inside the Paris Opera Garnier in person, you will fully understand why it is called the most spectacular building in Paris. The golden-colored interior, the enormous chandeliers, and the extravagance beyond the castle are truly dazzlingly beautiful.
In addition, there are so many gorgeous and wonderful works that each ceiling mural can be considered a true work of art. If you go inside, you might get a sore neck from looking at the ceiling!
Small tips from Opera Garnier
We are still performing at the Opera Garnier. No matter what anyone says, the ‘flower’ inside the concert hall is the Chagall ceiling painting right above. This work cannot be viewed anytime. So when can I go and see it?
The correct answer is a day when there is no performance. On performance days, you cannot enter the venue due to performance preparations. So definitely! I recommend visiting on a day when there are no performances.
If you have a ticket, you can also see the exhibition.
The exhibition inside the Opera Garnier is also full of things to see that exceed expectations. You can see different exhibitions depending on the theme each time! Most recently, an exhibition by Molière en Musique was held. There are also interesting exhibitions such as The Birth of the Opera and Picasso and Dance , so check the exhibition schedule for the day you visit in advance and visit the Opera Garnier.
