The Nojica National Marine Center is a research institute that studies marine ecosystems and a large aquarium that exhibits living marine life. It was created in 1981 by the mayor of Boulogne-sur-Mer by remodeling an old casino, and in 1982 by marine experts. It has over 50 large aquariums, and you can see thousands of species of living, moving marine life, including sharks, crocodiles, penguins, seals, crustaceans, marine plants, tropical fish, and coral reefs.
