The New York Aquarium is an aquarium located in Brooklyn, New York, USA. It opened in Castle Garden in Manhattan in 1896 and moved to Coney Island in Brooklyn in 1957. Its main purpose is conservation and education of the marine environment, and it exhibits various marine creatures such as seahorses, sharks, penguins, seals, and dolphins.

The New York Aquarium is home to over 500 different species of marine animals.
