BESTIt's fun and nice... I liked that the Korean woman who was in charge of pottery design gave detailed explanations... It was fun to choose pottery... If you are sensitive to respiratory problems, it would be a good idea to bring a mask and wear it.
These ceramics,
What kind of pottery is it?
Arita ware, a traditional craft of Arita-cho, is a type of porcelain that has many enthusiasts not only in Japan but also overseas. It is characterized by durability, transparent white porcelain, cobalt earthenware dyeing, and gorgeous red-painted porcelain. Arita porcelain is known to be expensive, but Koraku Kiln offers a porcelain-picking experience in the hope that more customers will enjoy Arita porcelain.
Get a basket and gloves, then fill your basket with treasures from the spacious warehouse!
Why porcelain?
Saga Prefecture, known as the home of porcelain, has been known to have actively exchanged with various countries since ancient times. A Korean potter, Lee Sam-pyeong, went to Japan and created the first porcelain in Japan, and this was the beginning of the development of porcelain technology in Saga Prefecture.
At Koraku Kiln, we accept artists from various fields from home and abroad and provide a place where they can focus on their work. They say that they are creating works that have never been seen before, inspired by Arita’s materials, techniques, firing methods, and Arita’s nature and people. So, let’s choose some of the ceramics made by the artists.
How do I choose my ceramics?
Now that you know about the pottery, it's time to start picking them out. First, present your QR code at the reception desk and receive gloves and a basket. Go to the treasure hunter warehouse and fill it with as many pottery items as you want! Once you're done hunting for treasure, you can check the pottery items you've collected and pack them yourself. You can do this for up to 90 minutes, but you can also pack them before the full 90 minutes are up. Let's find our own treasures!
Two courses, recommended for these people
Treasure Hunting has two courses: the 6,600 yen course and the 13,200 yen course. I will explain the differences between the two courses.
First, there is the 6,600 yen course. If you choose the 6,600 yen course, you can go treasure hunting in a warehouse with many simple and everyday-use utensils. You can see a lot of unique ceramics that have not yet been released into the world. I recommend it to those who want to go treasure hunting for everyday use .
Next is the 13,200 yen course. The 13,200 yen course is about hunting in a warehouse with many ceramics made with relatively sophisticated techniques. You can find well-known ceramics, and there are also ceramics that are as fancy as decorative items, so it is recommended for ceramics enthusiasts .
